As usual with all things political, my day job prevents me from saying much about this video (h/t Politicker NY) even in jest, but I'll offer the following scouting report:

--Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., has a nice stiff jab, hits with some power, offers some decent combos and possesses hand speed for a 65-year-old man. I also liked that when he was presented with a quicker opponent who moves better than him, he went to the body. It was his best work.
--He needs to tighten up his hooks, straight right and uppercut. Cutting off the ring isn't a specialty because he's flat-footed.

King isn't the only member of Congress with a boxing background; in the spirit of even-handedness in coverage of both major parties, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., has one, too. A photo from those days is below.
