The FSN cards have been good and justified the excitement I had about them since they were first announced. But the Azteca cards last year started off pretty fast too, and then slowly got worse and more irregular as the year went on. I am hoping history doesn't repeat.

I still would rather have seen Adamek/Cunningham II then any of these HW bouts he's fought in the last year or so. What I cant figure out is why Comcast Chicago, and only Comcast Chicago, is televising it. That channel has never shown live (or even much any) boxing before that I can recall.

That may be the weakest ShoBox card in the year I have been paying attention. Chop Chop is fun, but he is now a FNF level gatekeeper opponent at this stage. Heck, I'd much rather watch Camacho/Alvarez in snowy AC.

I seek not to undermine Team Monica, but the gentleman from Washington D.C. would refer the gentleman to the text of the blog entry where that point also was made. - Tim Starks

Team Monica raises a great point...Lemieux is fighting this weekend, it'll be interesting to see how much power he really has after facing a man with a chin. - Unifythebelts (Dan P.)

I love that there's such active commenting on the blog. As I've said before, it's at least half the fun to see what other people say. - Tim Starks

@SK
I can't believe that I even said that...it was not intended! But if anyone does suck, it's Cox!

@Tim
I'm amazed at all the activity on the Mayweather-Mosley column, you're surely moving up in the world with all those comments! - Unifythebelts (Dan P.)

I almost said the same in my post, but didn't want anyone to get confused about whether this was a prediction post.... but yes, I think Corley will beat Hernandez.

My one hesitation is that Corley's not a welterweight, and he's moving up. But he'll definitely be faster -- hell, I'm faster -- and he's still got some life in dem bones. - Tim Starks

Don't forget, though, you can watch it on the Internet via GoFightLive. Unless Cox has given you a bad Internet connection, too.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Rigondeaux take a big step up in his next fight. I think it's coming soon. I mean, Andrade was a big step up, and that came in just his third career fight. - Tim Starks

This was a classic comment. I should make a comment Hall of Fame and induct this one.

Three Kameda brothers; I'd forgotten about the youngest, Tomoki. Daiki is the part-term wrestler: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/boxing/348411/Kameda-KOd-by-suspension.html?print=yes

That Khan report was all based on "rumors," so I'm not sure what to think of it. But make no mistake, Khan's team is hiding him from Maidana at all costs. - Tim Starks

I will be at Adamek-Estrada and I can't wait. For some reason I've been thinking he was fighting Devin Vargas, I'm much happier with Estrada as an opponent. I think Adamek will win handily but I think Estrada will make it fun.

Corley over Hernandez is my "upset" pick of the weekend. Chop Chop deserved his last fight and I feel like he's a bit resurgent right now, record be damned.

I'm a 1000% happier to pay the extra $8 a month for FSN than I was paying $10 a month for the Spanish channels and one lousy Azteca show every two months last year. Rios-Teron? Sign me up!

@dan p - You said "Cox sucks"

Choke like Bob Crane...that's hilarious!

I'm really looking forward to the Abregu fight and the Rigondeaux fight. I just wish Guillermo would just move up to more threatening targets because he's too good and too experienced to be fighting tomato cans.

I'm annoyed that Adamek-Estrada is not available on my COX Digital Cable. Cox sucks...if I had Direct TV, I'd be able to watch it. - Unifythebelts (Dan P.)

Tim did you see a story about Maidana being offered hbo dates to stay away from Khan. If true makes Khan seem like a battered spouse.

How many Kameda brothers are there? Talented family.

Is it just me or is Cuba easier to get out of than Stalag 13 on Hogans Heroes. Cos every Cuban boxer seems to be coming on the scene right now. Lets just hope they don't choke like Bob Crane. - P J
