Khan is far from cocky, and JMM is surely far from a washout. He's still got the benefit of my doubt.

Also: "big ass buckethead" is just about the best insult I've heard this year. - FunkyBadger

It is an honor for Mr. Steven Seagal to drop by. I am quite sure it was intentional and not accidental resulting from GPS malfunction.
To Floyd Fans, this is just a simple example of what a TRUE GREAT is all about. - perry ayos

I think most of the boxing press loves DiBella.

I'm warming up to Shaw, too. With him getting out of the way of Darchinyan-Donaire II, my major gripe with him is gone. I love that he really seems to care about his fighters, and I love that at the same time, he has faith in them and isn't scared to put them in tough.

I know people hate on Golden Boy, and they have given themselves opportunities to be hated, but it's times like the Mayweather-Mosley thing where I appreciate their calm ability to get fights made. The only real exception of late is a big exception (Mayweather-Pacquiao cough) but they don't let a lot of junk get in the way of making a fight happen usually.

I guess I'm really down on Arum and King right now more than anyone. Arum, for all the reasons I've ranted about for weeks, and King for reasons like sitting on fighters and then not giving them the money he promised them. A few more Perez-Agbekos could turn me around on Don, though. - Tim Starks

Makes me happy too. He had the look of a guy who had taken a few too many beatings in the last fight he was in, and I always worry that boxers whose careers end early are going to go back to the ring when they shouldn't or else end up broke or something.

I can't comment on politics. :)

I think Katsidis is VERY dangerous for Guerrero. Katsidis is relentless and he's bigger -- the fight would be at lightweight. - Tim Starks

Yup. Three fights from now, is anybody going to be talking about Khan-Maidana? Only way that happens is if those two are the last men standing. - Tim Starks

You know, I probably should start ignoring Judah. But he keeps getting recruited to do fights.

Those Nate Campbell lines made me smile. Love a bit of trash talk (and sense-making).

DiBella is indeed the man. Was that interview from Borges? He obviously has a bit of a soft spot for him too.

Briggsy/Green would be a shocker. It'd do good business down here though, obviously. Maybe not as big as you'd think though, I don't think that Briggs was ever really the name that he should have been. There's just something about they way that Briggsy carries himself that makes me think he doesn't have it in him anymore. He is one tough mofo though.

The boxing kangaroo thing is pretty hilarious. Hilariously stupid. - ALEXMAC

Thanks for the memory Tim. Vice President Potatoe-head. Still the highlight of that 88 campaign. I can understand that the ayatollah-wing of the GOP held a gun to McCain's head last summer and forced him to select the Alaskan ditz instead of Sorrowful Joe Lieberman. But WTF was George HW Bush thinking in picking Quayle? He looks like he's doing a bad impersonation of Burt Ward's Dick Grayson.

And is that really Steven Seagal? Or the kid who played Eddie Munster all growed up. Or should that be out? What the heck was Team Pack thinking-- Seagal is one of those dude who out creeps Koncz.

As for the boxing-- either I didn't see the JT/Lou DiB falling out, or else it simply didn't register. This saddens me. I am under no illusions that people act 100% altruistically in this world, much less the boxing world, but of the many characters with which we have become familiar, Lou seems to be one of the better guys. And I thought his public statements on JT were fine and he was clearly looking after JT best long term interests-- his health 20 years from now. Hurt, not angry, just about says it all.

Like Vanes/Qunitana as a match up. Would lean Quintana after I thought Vanes lost to Ouma. But, by the same token, even though I like him, Carlos has more or less been inactive for a long spell (other than his aborted Feliciano bout in AC where he got knocked down but still somehow won on a cut?). Still think Kastidis is a dangerous opponent for Guerrero.

Had I done a nicknames list, Swamp Donkey would have been near the top. I love that guy.

No surprise about Khan. As long as he fights good guys, I'll try not to begrudge him too much. Trouble is, I think his team is banking on Maidana losing before then and taking some of the pressure off, and they may be right.

DiBella is the man. He even got a shout-out at a concert I was at, I think it was Down. I've always been a big Nate fan, also.

Who doesn't like Nate Dog after reading what he had to say to BoxingScene? I do like Bradley but why doesn't he just finish off what was started? As far a Khan, I can't say that I'm sold on his wanting to fight anyone. Bottom line the boxer has the final say so. If Khan thinks fighting JMM is gonna be walk in the park, he may want to rethink it. I'm quite certain the fight would be with JMM in Vegas which I don't have a problem with. After that Golden Boy is gonna line him up with 1 or 2 more fights before Maidana? I'd like to see Bradley beat the cockiness right out of Khan.

Why is Zab Judah still relevant?

Your electric ropes idea is hilarious.

Pau's facial hair is grizzly.

I didn't mention Paul because there were no Paul developments; he's still slated to fight next probably in May, probably against Cintron. - Tim Starks

Awesome info Tim.

Amir Khan I don't mind him fighting an outboxer as long as there's not much gap in slickness. I think GBP is damaging his psyche though, the next time he steps in with a big puncher I doubt the confidence will be there.

Nonito- Darchi 2 as much as I wanted to see it, I can't look forward to it until the next fight is over. Brian Viloria kinda reminds me that fighters with nothing to lose are sometimes more dangerous!

It's some kind of rarity that you didnt talk about Paul Williams, I think there's the most ducked syndrome again. But if ever they are considering fighting soon, I'm hoping he do it at 154. Retiring Cory Spinks is P-will's calling, maybe he doesn't know it yet.

At junior welterweight, I want Zab and Paulie to fight in a ring with electric ropes (preferably 500 megawatts to ensure success of event).

Big in Spain? That's awesome, we got someone to tell Pau Gasol to shave! - Irvin Ryan =)
